I talked to Marshal today at Matrix bullets about his new 160gr VLD for the 6.5's. It looks like they have about a .720 BC and will require a 8" twist. I'm thinking I'll give some a whirl through my 8" twist Bartlein barreled 6.5-300wm. They should make for a really good long range bullet.

What kind of ogive does he use?, i am thinking with the bc in the stratosphere the bullet must be quite long an curious if the 1-8 will give proper stability?

He said the people using them are using 8" twist. He keeps the lead back in the nose so there isn't as much weight forward. That enables a slower twist for stabilization. He did the same thing with the 190gr 7mm bullets.
