Shot this 165gr Partition out of the trusty 30-06 into milk jugs. Shot from my TC Encore pistol with 15" barrel. Load was with IMR4350 & CCI non-mag primer. Velocity was just over 2500 fps and it was very accurate out of the Encore, about 3/4 MOA. Jugs were shot at 50 yards and recovered in the 5th. I don't remember exact weight, but I want to say around 70% retention. The front little piece of lead was found separated in the 5th jug with the rest of the bullet. I put it back for the picture. Shot a smallish 6-pt at 191 yards with same gun and load, dropped in its tracks. Bullet went through both shoulders and exited.

They will definitely tackle anything around my neck of the woods without issue. I like Partitions in short barrels too, they always are reliable.

Hard to beat a PT. I used that bullet for years on our WV whitetails and one CO mule deer with complete success in my Rem 700 30-06. Dan.

Well - see my nick...
Since I had to go lead-free in some areas and did so full time, I should change the name.

But I killed my first game with the NP and we'll - it did the job
