180 gr Ballistic tip

Looking to load some 180gr 300 Win Mags. Would like to know what is the optimum speed for proper "Performance" of this bullet. Minimum FPS/Maximum FPS

Would be nice if Nosler would ad this info to their reloading data. Maybe then the Ballistic tip wouldn't get some of the negitive performance comments that it does. I think most people try to load the BT for max speed, which in my opinion is the reason for surface blow-ups with this bullet.

In my oppinion Noslers Bal tip bulletsare excellent for mid game , despite it tends to blow up if velocity is high

In my experience in several calibers ( 257 Wby , 308 Winch , 280 Rem , 6,5 x 68 , and 22`s obviously ) if you shoot at maximum velocities sometimes it tends to dsintegrated on skin and penetration isn't good enough.

Precision is always excellent

I had proved its in medium game like deer and wild boar .

A guy I know used them not too long ago. 3300 fps mv from his Sendero 300 RUM. He busted a bull elk square in the shoulder at under 100 yards. Perfect performance and full exit. Go figure.
