Happy new year to you all.
I decided to do a quick end of year hunt on a property that held fallow and sambar deer. We didn’t see any sambar but there were a few fallow getting around. I shot one facing me with the RUM. The bullet entered the chest and was found on the inside of the rear ham breaking the leg. The shot was made at 80 yards or so and would have hit at over 3,000fps going end to end. Retained bullet weight was 141 grains or circa 70%. Suffice to say there was no suffering on the animals behalf but the ground was bruised from how hard it hit it
