I'm new to hunting and newish to Colorado and I'm really looking forward to getting into it. Unfortunately I missed the deadline to get a license so maybe next year.

It's never to late to get a license. The left over licenses go on sale in Colorado I think in the beginning of August. Check it out on the DOW website in Colorado.

Exactly - left over licenses are an option as well and general over the counter tags for specific areas - one can always hunt somewhere in CO.
