Was able to take a nice moose in the Alaska Mountain Range on the afternoon of September 20th.... last day of the season. My guide called this bull moose up from 506 yards away to 120 yards where I was able to put him down with one shot from my .300 Ultra Mag and a 180 grain AccuBond bullet. He was quartering to me when the bullet struck just in front of the left shoulder. He whirled around 180 degrees and dropped. The bullet took out the shoulder, one lung and the liver. We couldn't discover an exit hole nor could we recover the bullet. I hunted with Tom Shankster's Alaska Trophy Hunts.
