Well spent $175 on licenses and tags this year, ouch. Put in for quality bull and for a cow tag, I'm sure I won't draw it I don't have many points. But like my buddy says, someone has to win it.

Tags for this year (freshwater fishing, hunting, black bear, elk, moose, whitetail, mule deer) set me back $125.45. I get a nice break on fishing and hunting licence since I turned 65. I'll take every break I can get. Oh, yeah, and then there were three LEH tags at $6.72 each.

Mountain Lion Tag, Elk Bonus Point, Hoping to draw a Coues Deer Tag, and will buy Preference Points in WY for antelope, deer, and elk. Oh yeah, and I put in for a Bighorn Sheep Tag but the odds are slim.

Other than that I may buy a OTC Fall Bear Tag.

Antelope and elk for me and the kids. Moose preference point. Deer general

I also got a bear, cougar tag and deer and elk as well as small game so I can chase coyotes.

I didn't get a tag for elk or antelope in AZ again this year but do have a landowner cow elk tag in New Mexico. Still hoping for a deer tag in AZ but the way they do things and the luck I've had on getting a tag I ain't gonna hold my breath. :x
The New Mexico hunt will be with a couple of friends from some of the sits I go to. One I hunted with last year and what will be a newcomer to us this year. The hunt won't be until next January and I'm not liking the wait.

I'm in the Montana antelope draw comin' up sometime in July, I think. I can still get a General Elk and possibly a deer tag in Wyoming if I don't mess around too long.

OTC tags for deer, elk, bear & cougar for me and my youngest son, all here in Washington. Actually have a fighting chance at notching at least a couple of those tags between us.

Then of course I put us in for all the "unobtainable" tags: late mule deer rut hunts, branch antler bull elk, and the "once in a lifetime" tags for mountain goat, bighorn sheep and moose. That's just wish-list stuff as the odds are I'll never draw. But like C.Smith said "somebody has to win it." Might as well play the tag lottery.

Has gotten expensive though, particularly buying tag apps for two of us. Worth every penny.

About $160 here per year to hunt, fish and trap. If you get a bear tag you can add $50 to that. My wife has a bear tag and will bow hunt deer along with fishing so she will be around $100.

Here it's a bit different , you have to by your wildlife certificate somewhere in the neighborhood of $30.
$15black bear tag ( good for spring or fall)
$36.95 white tail tag( general)
$10.80 Gamebird lisc.
$17.00 waterfowl lisc. + 35 for a migratory stamp
Those I can all buy over the counter. Then for draws it will cost somewhere around 5$ each.
So mule deer , moose, elk, antelope, = $20 just to apply then if your drawn each tag is on top of that. It sure adds up. I think I'll get muley buck, 999 ( that increases my priority on the draw but tells them you are not willing to pull that tag yet.) bull elk, put in for moose ( not likely to get drawn) , stinky lope not a hope but will put in any way.

Man I get off cheap in Missouri.

20 bucks for archery deer ( two either sex tags and two either sex turkey tags)
20 bucks for Firearm Deer ( either sex tag)
15 for a fishing liscence.
20 bucks for Spring Turkey ( two bearded turkeys).

Non resident moose in Alaska $400

Non resident gun deer in Minnesota $165

Resident Wisconsin hunting and fishing about $120

Time spent enjoying GOD's beautiful creation PRICELESS

Of course, now it's the waiting game to see if I drew anything, in addition to the OTC tags.

Am happy with my over-the-counter opportunities. It's not all bad being able to hunt deer, elk, bear & cougar with OTC tags.

It would be GREAT though to draw one of the specialty tags. We'll see.

I think Washington results should be available by mid June. Waiting... More or less patiently!

I drew either sex deer archery, September bear rifle, cow elk 3rd rifle, another pp for antelope. I plan to buy OTC either sex elk archery license in July. If I do well in late August -September, I probably won't hunt elk in november, but it's good to have a backup plan.

Drew muzzleloader bull elk, rifle coues and archery javalina here in new mexico, son drew rifle deer and youth javalina, will probably get him a cow tag when youth encouragement licenses go on sale this summer. My brothers and I should draw wyo deer this year and will probably do private land barbary sheep (aoudad) here in NM again, will be a lot of driving! Some of you boys got off pretty light in the license fee dept. cost me over 800.00 to apply for every species here in new mexico this year (mostly refundable if you don't draw) plus 200.00 to put my boy in for elk, deer, antelope and javalina (for some reason no one understands java tags cost more than antelope here). plus non res deer in wyo and elk and deer points for same...figure in the .280 MCR (midlife crisis rifle) I picked up and suddenly the price of beef these days don't look so bad

Just got an email from Utah DWR no luck with my application for LE Bull Elk. I had 7 points going into this years drawing.

Most of my tags are OTC, 'cept for a few special control'd hunts held on certain state Conservation Areas. But they are mostly for doe white-tail deer.

Right now I'm waiting for some western states draws to take place.

My buddies and I each got our Either sex Elk tags, first season, Colorado area 15. So far there's been plenty of rain in our area, everything is very green and it looks like the Elk are going to have plenty to eat and drink. Snow is still on the mountain tops but the Elk are returning from the wintering areas. The wait for October takes forever but it's the best time of year for me.
