Apply for another point in Wyoming as well.

I have orders to PCS this Summer, so it sorta muddies up any real Fall plans, as of right now.

I am sure I will get some deer hunting in somewhere as well.

Those elk are going to be laughing when they see me coming up the hill by myself. I can hear them now.

Leaf lickers drink lattes and imagine it is coffee. Candidly, if it won't float horseshoes, it likely needs some more grounds.

Wyoming controlled hunt applications and booklet are now on line. Go to Wyoming Game and Fish, go to the HOME page and in the left center of the page are some multi colored vertical tabs. Hard to find but there in there. Regulations cover Elk, Deer, Antelope, Moose, and Sheep. Booklet is 64 pages long, and takes awhile to load. New maps are pretty good.

I have got my application in for Wyoming Elk, and my 2014 Preference Point for Arizona and Oregon Spring Bear. Next up is a PP for Nevada. Oregon and Washington controlled hunts come in a couple of months.

My plans got hijacked this year.
All I'll be chasing is coues deer this year, Lord willing, and I'm hoping the Cardiologist clears me to go whack a javelina next week with my off duty gun. I don't feel like I can hunt hard yet and wondering if I'll ever be able to. I've been back to work for a week but I'm still off my game. Was supposed to go coyote calling today, Super Bowl Sunday, but after working last night I didn't have the energy. It's taking me longer to recover from stuff than it used to.
I'm hoping I can bring some plans to fruition in 2015 with moose and elk on the menu, as well as coues deer again.

Vince, I was not feeling tip top until about 3 months after I had the stents installed. As Doc states slow & easy my friend. In no time at all you will be back better than before.
Well I hope to be hunting both Elk & Moose again this year along with Whitetail & Muley .

Hey Bill I don't have Oregon's regs in front of me, is the mount Emily any bull tag a first or second season hunt.? I have 18 points for the Walla Walla. The bull tag there starts first season and runs through second season now. In any event I'll be there during the first hunt. I'll get you my phone number if you draw the tag. If you need a hand packing one out call me and I'll bring some packers over. I'm planning on you being ready to go by the end of October.
Even if I don't draw as a non resident I'll be there with the family. I am the only one of our group who has not drawn the tag at the rate I'm going my brothers may draw for a second time.
In any event, spike or branch tages we're going. We can met you any where in mt. Emily in a couple of hours.

Do believe I'm staying home here in Washington again this year. Have had some unexpected expenses, and spending money on an out-of-state hunt just doesn't seem real smart this year.

No problem. Have whitetail & mulies to chase here, along with elk & bear, all over-the-counter tags.

I keep hoping to draw for bighorn sheep, mountain goat or moose... Those are all once-in-a-lifetime tags, and the odds are stacked real steep against being drawn.

And of course w/the new dog, I'm hoping to get a lot of time in chasing pheasant, chukar & huns afield here in the foothills and canyons near home.

I'm Montana bound this year. I put in for a deer tag and plan on getting a bear and wolf tag too. The two guys I go out there with put in for Elk tags and will more than likely get bear and wolf tags also.

With 18 points you should surely draw a tag and have a chance at a great bull. Good luck on the "draw and the hunt" My hunt will be the second season hunt. Spike only Nov.2 thru the 9 I believe.
