+1. This is imperative. I tend to break my boots in at work since I'm on my feet all day. My wife got me a pair of Danner's for Christmas and I wore them on New Year's Eve. Ended up walking about 9 miles at work that day and they are trending in the right direction. You don't have to be anywhere special, but I'd put a couple of weeks of daily wear into them before you ever leave the pavement. Also, make sure you are doing this with the socks you plan on hunting in. You will notice hot spots or wear marks long before you ever set foot in the mountains in case something isn't the way you want it.get your new boots ASAP , and get some miles on them to break them in . nothing worse than sore feet .
