Anyone have any experience either on the bench or in the field with these new bullets? I picked up a box to try in my new CZ 527. I will also be experimenting with 40 v-max, 32 v-max, and 35 bergers. All are test rounds are loaded and ready to try at the range on my next day off. Powders I am working with include: H322, H335, H4895, W748, and Varget. I am hoping that the 40 ballistic tip works the best and seems to be the most aerodynamic design with a high b.c. I am interested to hear from others on this forum as to bullet performance on game and paper. I put a 5.5-16.5 monarch on my CZ, so I really hope this baby shoots!!!

I had great luck with the V-max 32 gr in my CZ--when I had it.

Win 748 took them to 4195 fps. I will be trying the 40 BT's for a friend soon though.

Pop- I'm not sure if you are working with another CZ or not but this may be of interest in your load development concerning seating. The magazine oal measures 2.335" I seated both the 40 and 32 v-max to 2.325" oal leaving just .010 room in the mag and neither bullet makes it to the lands. I found the longest I can seat the 40 b-tip is 2.250" within .010" of the lands. I set the bergers to 2.310" oal.

In the CZ I had before I just sat them as close to magazine max as I could. If memory serves right the bullets were not close to the lands.

Range update: 32 v-max grouped .310" using H322
40 ballistic tip grouped .630" using H335 bettering the tests with 40 v-max, but I am still going to tweak and shrink it some more hopefully. Sidenote: could not get the 32 ballistic tips to group well in this rifle, no matter what powders I tested. Will experiment some more in the morning and post the results if it gets any better.

Velocities averaged just over 3500 with the 40 ballistic tip and 24.7 H335 (might try to push it a little faster eventually, but nice groups)

Velocities averaged right at 4000 with the 32 v-max and 27.3 H322, this with a 25.5" barrelled CZ 527 Varmint.

I zeroed the 40 b tip at 100 yards with the 32 vmax hitting exactly 1.5" high and dead center left and right. Now, I'm going to figure out my drops/clicks at 400 yards. Both should only drop about 2.5" at 300 so I'll just put the crosshairs on a p dog's nose and let him have it. Sweetness!!

Here's the info I came up with converting bulllet drop to clicks using a scope with 1/4" adjustments at 100 yards.
