This bullet went 7 jugs!!! Talk about impressive guys. Most bullets like a 7mm WSM with a 160 AB will do 4 maybe 5, 270WSM with 150 PT, about the same, well, again, I know why I like the bigguns!

Retained 167.7 grains

My son Brandon getting some time with the 338... (It's a video if you click on the picture)..

Very impressive bullet to say the least. Jim and Joel have talked this bullet up alot and man, for GREAT reason. It performs out of character to it's size and SD..

Scotty,

The 338 210 gr PT is indeed a impressive bullet.

I know Jim, I know.. I never doubted you mate. Just took me awhile to find a load I liked. Should get some speeds soon, just to know how fast it hit the jugs.

Your right though, if I am close to what I am thinking, should still be around 1500 Ftlbs at 600 yards. That should be a good one for an elk or moose I think..

Hard to beat a PT. Still the best there is, 50 years later!

Nice!

Penetration into the 7th jug is right up there with some serious hitters...

No surprise there after using them for elk for 40 years! They were the Partition for many years for the .338 WM. Everybody used them for elk because they penetrate all day long. I still use them as the bullet of choice in my .338 Federal.

OT3 - a buddy of mine who passed on a couple of years ago had a wonderful Win 70 built in .338-06, and had the chamber reamed specifically for the 210 Nosler Partition.

He messed around with a few other bullets over the years, but had his rifle built around that particular bullet. For good reason: it never let him down, near or far, on game large or small.

I believe that to be true, Guy. That 210 grain Partition bullet has served many hunters for many, many years on medium game. As much As I liked the 225 Partition for my .340 Bee, I could get through life with the 210 Partition and never be lacking. Plus, the 210 gr PT is a great bullet for my .338 Federal.

Pretty cool Scotty. I was wanting to freeze some jugs and put one into them just haven't had the time and been way to cold. We haven't broke freezing in over a month, with highs fom 10-20 and lows around -15F or for you Canucks -25C great for ice rinks though!!

I know. I had the same idea about freezing some jugs. I think it would a cool video if anything.

The 210 gr PT is the first bullet I used in my 338 RUM. I shot a 5 pt bull elk at 350 yds through both shoulders, dropping him in his tracks. The exit was the size of a golf ball. I also took 2 mule deer and a black bear with this bullet and they were instant kills.

Great performance there. This is the bullet which makes me hesitate to build a Whelen. Like Guy's old friend, I could easily build a 338-06 instead and use this bullet. I'd never miss a beat when it comes to hunting in the lower-48.
