So I wasn't paying attention when I purchased these... Was more to the fact of being excited that they were on the shelf. When I opened the box, these are the cannalured (sp?) bullets.
Question being....I was going to start working on some loads in my .223 with these... will there be a difference between the two? I don't need nor want the cannalured ones....

Powerstroke

The cannelure won't make any difference.
Let us know how they shoot in your 223.

Thanks Guys.....

JD...I'm headed up to about 11,500 to 13,000 to camp tomorrow. I'll see how it does at altitude......maybe bring back some pics of some goats along the way...

Powerstroke, if you get around georgetown, I'd like some pics of long horns if you have time. Thanks.

Yote,

Long straight horns or long curled horns? I'll be on the south side.. taking the kid along and meeting my Dad. We see alot of goats on that side.. few rams.....
The largest ram I've seen this year is clear down at the bottom of Floyd Hill at the corner....the DOW has been watching them there too.

Well.......I'm not quite sure how to put this...
I made it out Saturday with the ATV's tent etc for somewhat of a quick camping trip. Mostly wanted to get to the mountains and excape the heat.
None the less, I sat at the reloading bench till close to midnight on Friday night making sure I had several powders loaded for the new 60 grn b-tips I just purchased.
Saturday morning off we go..... .223 & .260 in hand. Get the tent set up, everything unlaoded and time to head up the mountain. I get the target stand out, the .223 out and......and......no bullets. They were still on my bench right where I left them at midnight Friday.

I did get to stretch the legs on the .260 however. Zero'd @ 100 with aprox .5in groups depending on the load I learned using the area where the x-hair widens is pretty much dead on at 450yds.

next weekend for the VTR... :(

Don't feel bad I'v done the same thing only I was going doe hunting after work and when I got to where I wanted to hunt no ammo :x
