I have been shooting my tc contender in k hornet for a while now and have accumulated 500 or so rounds that I want to reload. Can I use a neck sizer die or do I need a full lenght sizer die?
Most descriptions of neck sizer dies say bolt action rifles only this is what, a break or hinge action? What makes this dies set only for bolt actions? Can I use a seater die from a regular hornet?

I've watched this thread sit unanswered for a few days. I'd suggest posting your question in the reloading section...I can just about guarantee you'll get some good answers in short order!

Bolt guns have a cam action which is more forgiving than semi-autos, pumps, break open and levers.

Now, if all the ammo has been fired out of the same bolt gun, then it has only expanded to fit that particular gun. You should be able to just neck size the ammo and load it OK into the gun it was fired from.

I would get a full length die and if you only want to neck size, try backing it off some so you don't full length size it. Try a few rounds and see if it works OK. If so, go for it. If not, just screw the full length die down and size the whole thing. Nothing lost just a little time.
