Does anybody know if you can use IMR 4064 in a .223rem 60 grain Partition? My nosler reloader manual #5 does not have this powder listed maybe for a reason but this would be very handy if possible.
My old Lyman reloading manual #47 has a load for a seirra smp #1370 63gr bullet on page 202. They list a starting load of IMR-4064 of 22.0 gr at 2409 fps. The maximum load is a compressed load of 25.0 gr at 2808 fps. They did not list the C.U.P. for this load. The LEE load manual should also have some data. Check your sporting goods store to see if they have a copy. I found data for a 70 gr Speer and Rel-15 powder for my load in the LEE manual. Be cautious of compressed loads in the 223 as bullets will slide out. Greyfox
