Anyone loading these in the 358win yet? I have used H4895 with great resaults with the 225 Partition. What OCL do you use? I have a 700 Short Action its a rebarreled 700 Classic model. And have not yet run out of magizine lenght but these would be the longest bullets by far.

Still lookig for the best deer bullet my shots are from 20-150 yards and usually less than 80 yards.

if Nosler would only step up and help us out and make a few decent shorty bullets for us 358 lovers....sigh..
What we need is a 200 or maybe a 185 grain AccuBond, or Ballistic Tip for the 358...should have a fat ogive and flat base so it ain't so dang long...

I have used the 200 Gr TSX, and 200 Gr Hornady and Remington spire points in mine. They shoot equally superb. and plenty fast...like 2650 if i remember right...

that aB is too long for MOST 358's...your lucky enough to have a 700 action...

the new Ruger shorts made off the 375 ruger in a 358 bore would get my attention... it's the 21st century 350 rem Mag....

A 200 gr AB with a flat tip would be just the ticket.

I always used the 200 gr Hornadies, The AB's were too long.

Thanks I guess I already have the best deer bullets with the 200gr hornady spire point, and the 200gr corelokts. I have not loaded the rems in the 358win yet but have shot them in the factory 35whelen loading which is tops for deer. I did work up the 225gr parttion load but have not loaded a batch of them for hunting yet.

I did see the Conley Precision loads which as advertised are 2540fps which seems high for the 200gr CoreLokt Round Nose. I would have guessed that 2300fps would be pushing it but thats just a guess!

My first load was a NBT 225gr in the .358 Win, OAL was 2.800 over 36.5grs of RL7. Velocity was low, 2080fps from my BLR, accuracy was very nice 3/4" - 1" @ 107yds.

I just checked my records and see that I did make up one series using 225 grain AB this past July. 47 grains of Varget with WLR primers gave me a velocity of 2282 +/- 2 fps and a group of 0.75". OAL was 2.78". The bullet was seated deep, but it showed promise out of my BLR. However, I focused more on the 200 grain TSX which gives me greater velocities and tighter groups. The Nosler PT also gives better accuracy for me in my rifle. Nevertheless, this wasn't a bad load. I have not worked up any other loads with ABs.
