25.06 Muled Deer load

You definately want the 120g Partition for elk over the 100g. THe 100g will work, but the 120g just gives extra penetration, which is what you need.

I have been using the 25-06 for 10 years or so now and love it. Its given me flawless performance out to 600 yards on coyotes, antelope, whitetail, muley, black bear, and elk.

115g NBT is my bullet of choice. Never found one so I guess they've done there job...I've used practically every bullet out there in one form or another though, however, the 115g NBT with its .450 BC at 3200fps is tough to beat.

I use to use RL-22, but have now switched to Retumbo. It gives me 3500fps w/100g nbt's and 3250fps w/115g nbts, 1/2 MOA from each, from my shilen barreled 700. The 100's are for coyotes, the 115s are for deer/bear/elk.

good info. i need to read up on BC again to make a more informed buy next time. those .257 caliber e-tips look pretty tasty as well

I shot a Mule Deer in Wyoming a few years back with my .25-06 using handloaded 110gr Accubonds. He was running just over 200 yards (quartering away) and the bullet entered just behind the back rib and the bullet was lodged in the vertebrae next to the skull. Very good penetration.

I shot a Wyoming Antelope a few years later with the same load. Personally I feel the AccuBond is a little much for Antelope and the 100gr Ballistic Tip would be perfect for Antelope.

The 110gr AccuBond, I think, is perfect for mule deer.
