25-06 Pac-Nor

Very nice! Am interested in seeing how well it shoots for you.

My go-to load the past few years has been the 115 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip and a max charge of Retumbo. Am getting excellent accuracy. The Ballistic Tips are seeing 3120 fps while the Partitions are at 3190 fps, with a slightly higher powder charge.

I've largely gone to Nosler brass for the .25-06, though I have a fair bit of Remington and Winchester brass still on hand. Also, usually I neck-size only, with my Wilson dies. It's proven to be an excellent cartridge!

Regards, Guy

This rifle has a 3 groove Pac-Nor barrel on it.

It will shoot 1/4" 5 shot groups with 53gr match bullets and under 1/2" with my 50gr BT PD loads. I found the barrel not to foul as much as some do and easy to clean. I only clean it twice a day shooting PDs.
The rabbit was shot @ 506yds. About the limit for a .223.

Shot the first 10 rounds cleaning after each shot, then shot my first 3 shot group at 100 yards. New Nosler brass, 100g NBT's and mid range load of MagPro. Used MagPro because I have over 9 lbs of it. Wasn't expecting this, just trying to break in the barrel and get some once fired brass. Hope this continues.

That is certainly encouraging. Should that continue, you will be smiling each time you take the rifle afield.

She looks to be a shooter.
Just think, its only going to get better.

Very nice. I bet they are clipping right along too.

Just like JD said, it'll only get better too.

Like the look of that rifle. Kinda makes me wihs I wouildnt have blued my 250 and just left it in the white. That load is a winner! Very nice. Enjoy.... CL

Thanks everyone.

Shot it again today, good groups continue. Scotty, 59.0g of MagPro today gave me an average of 3204 fps, Accurate says max is 60.7g at 3296 fps with a 100g Ballistic Tip. I'm still using new Nosler brass, so we'll see what happens when I switch to once fired brass. I may try some other powders just to see if the accuracy is the same. Wasn't planning on using MagPro once the barrel was broken-in, but if the accuracy continues I will for this bullet.
