115 Ballistic Tip Factory Seconds
1st try with this bullet
1st three shots out of clean barrel
This gun has shown some good groups with several weights of bullets.
I've used the 100 grain Ballistic Tips on Deer and Antelope without issue but I think these would work well.
Maybe I'll get a chance this Fall.

Very mild recoil with this load, bullets seated just a bit shorter than SAAMI max.

Very fine group. You're stimulating me to get my Bob out and work with it again.

Man, you've been posting some impressive stuff. Gotta love the old 257 roberts! I turned mine into an ackley and love it

On vacation this week and I've been hitting the SPS quite often over the Winter. Time to see how some of these purchases perform on paper.

Used the 115 Ballistic tip on both mule deer and a single pronghorn, with complete satisfaction. Instant drop-dead kills, excellent expansion, tremendous destruction inside the chest cavity and... complete penetration on broadside shots.

Groups easily under an inch were normal with my .25-06 as well.

Regards, Guy

You are on your way. Since your rifle is a 700 Classic, try seating the bullets further out and take advantage of the long action. You should get out to 2.9xx" COL.

Very nice! I love seeing that old 257 whoopin it on. Really not too much that cartridge lacks in a deer killer, especially when paired up with the 115 BT.
