I'm pretty partial to Marines myself...my daughter I spoke of is married to a Marine! ha He is a Msgt in the Marine Reserves. He got an extensive education in Electronics/Communications when he went in 20yrs ago. he is still active but doesn't have to deploy. Marines also go to Defense Language Institute at Monterey, it is really a great school, even some civilians go there. Good luck to you young lady!
