Can someone send me starting and what they have found for max with R-19? This will be for 130 and 140G bullets. The Nosler book doesn't give any loading info for R-19 with the 130 grain bullets. Let me know if it is too fast and if R-22 is a better option. Thanks

My latest speer manual, lists a starting Chg of 53 grains for a MV of 2699 and a max of 57 gra for2904, for 130 grain buuets, 140s show 52 gra for2750 and 56 for 2923.
Yes, I did a double take too,
A slightly lower charge of the same powder pushes a 140 grain bullet faster tahn a slightly larger charge pushes a 130.
OH well its a strange hooby.
This is from a 22 inch tube.
RL=19 is a good powder for a lot of cartridges.
OF hand I can remember using it in 06 ,.270 , 280, 7mag .338 win 7X57
.257 Roberts.
I bet you will like the results and if you have a 24 inch tube i bet it will give you some decent speed.
by the way , i didnt get to range on saturday as my buddie could'nt make it.
i think I will go one morning this weeks as the range is nearly empty week days.
I,ll let you knw about my AI...tj3006

I had always used H4831-56gr with Nosler AB 140gr.
Just found a super accurate load with RL19- 56gr, 1 gr. below max.-
in my very old, super accurate Remy 700 groups .25MOA at 100yds.

In my experience rl22 and h4831 rocks in the 270

Just Like POP said

With 270 Win I have found H4831 or IMR 4831 excellent with both 130 and 150's

Reloader 22 excellent with 150's.

RL19 @ 55 with 150's
56 130's
56 140's
