I just picked up a 270 Wby Mag and will be working up some loads using Noslers. Anybody have any pet loads for 120 -140 gr bullets? I know what shoots good in yours may not perform as well in mine, but it'd be a starting point.
I have the latest Nosler manual, just looking for some unpublished data.

Thanks, Bacova

My pet load is LOTS of IMR 7828 with 140gr ballistic tips or AccuBond. Both shoot to the same point of aim in my Weatherby ULW.

Somewhere around 73grs chronos at 3400fps in my gun. Be careful, my load is above max.

I've harvested four muleys and one antelope with that load the past two seasons.

It is my opinion that the .270 WBY Mag is the most useful of all in that line. In fact, I think it is second only to the 7MM Rem Mag for the single best North American cartridge!

Good evening,

Tom

I use IMR 4350, CCI Mag. primer, Weatherby brass and this is topped off with a 130 gr. Nosler BT  .. The velocity is 3246 fps. out of a 24" barrel and accuracy is excellent when I do things right.

130 gr
76 gr IMR 7828
3500 fps---great accuracy
Please work up from 10% below.

Reloader28,

Wel that would be a lie...'cause the 7MM Weatherby takes a back seat to the only true 7MM Mag...THE REMINGTON, and we ain't talkin' ultra or shorties!!!

Take care,

Tom

Stout charge of IMR 7828 and 140 grainers out of one of them chronographed at 3400 fps. The other one likes reloader 22 and 3200 fps. Will have to let you know about the 150's cause I haven't developed a load for them yet. Still have 600 of the 140's to send downrange, and am waiting on my new toy, yep, another 270 roy.

My favorite load when I had my 270 WBY was 130 gr Hornady at 3500 fps. 76 gr of 7828. This was a max load!
