I'm looking for some load data on the 140gr AccuBond for my Browning BAR 270. I also need to know how far to seat the bullet to prevent any problems when my gun cycles. Can any of you guys help me out?

Substitute data for the 140 Ballistic tip and work up from there. As far as seating depth go with factory COAL just to be safe.

Thanks for the post POP. Our customer service guy says try IMR 4350, IMR 4831 and RL-19 powders. They should be the right burn rate for gas autos.

Thats nice to know as I always heard those powders were TO SLOW for Gas Semi- Auto's,even the BAR. Thanks for clearing that up.

Last year I was loading for my Browning BAR in 30-06 and had heard the same thing about the slow powders.

I was loading 165 Grn Sierra Game Kings and Nosler Partitions. Sierra actually had a section in their manual about using slower powders in gas operated guns. I gave Sierra a call and they said that that section of their manual related of older military type rifles and I could load the BAR with any powder shown in the manual including the slower burning ones like IMR4350 and IMR 4831.

So, I loaded using both. I actually got my best accuracy using IMR4831.

In the Bar IMR 4350 will work great........270 30-06 338 7mm Mag....seems Browning built it around IMR 4350.
