What powder are ya'll having the best luck loading behind a 150 grain Partition in the 270 Winchester? I'm considering R22 or IMR 4320. I really prefer the higher velocities and load densities that the R22 is offering but how does it shoot?

I had the best luck with RL-22 and H4831sc when I used 150g bullets. I was using 57.5g of either powder. Velocity was 2950-3000fps out of my 22" tube. Accuracy was .5" to .75" at 200 yards.

The only powder better would be MRP by Norma............Reloader 22 is very close the same burn rate.

RL 22 excellent in the 270 Win and 270 WSM. I suggest the 140 Nosler AB a excellent bullet for the 270 win.

i am using imr4831 with 58.5 grains. i am also using 130 grain interlock from hornady and i am shooting 3 rounds into a dime at 200 yards. the velocity is over 3100 fps if you need anything else about any other gun just email me at cycleboy91@hotmail.com

My favorite powder for 150s in the .270 is H-4831SC. I generally load 56-57 gr. Generally gives close to 2850 in a 22" barrel and 2900 in a 24" barrel, give or take a few fps depending on your gun and components used.
