I’d like to ask if someone would be kind enough to run Quickload for an E-Tip load I’ve come upon that my rifle really shoots well. I’m not getting any pressure signs but I’d like to make sure I’m not pushing the envelope. The load shoots well under 1moa at 100 yards. The load is as follows.

270 Winchester
24” barrel
Chrono’s at 3128 fps with my Magnetospeed
60.1 grains RL-26
COAL 3.340” at .095” off the lands
130 grain E-Tip that’s HBN coated

It shoots really well but with the lack of load data for this combination I just want to make sure I’m not abusing my rifle. Coating with HBN actually gives me almost zero copper fouling after almost 50 rounds. Thank you in advance.

You appear to be very close to what is projected.

Thank you DrMike. That’s within 11 fps of what I’m getting. Thank you for taking the time. Greatly appreciated.

I have to say, this TC Venture is turning out to be quite a surprise. It seems to shoot everything pretty well. I put a Boyd’s Prarie Hunter stock on it with a Nikon 3x9x40, and it turned out to be a great shooting, nice looking rifle. I haven’t bedded the action and get less than moa accuracy from it with multiple loads. It’s light, mounts to the shoulder naturally, and shoots much better than more expensive 270’s I’ve owned. I’ve had it for 2 years now and finally decided on the load to take it in the woods with. Not because other loads shot poorly, more that I have other rifles that I’ve taken over the years out of familiarity. She’s earned her chance this year. Thanks again DrMike for running the Quickload numbers for me.

I'm getting 3,250 with a 130 tip in my 24" barrel. 62 Gr. RL26. NO pressure signs. Shoots .5" , 3 shots. I'm stoked !
