Wanted to say thanks to everyone's input on this load. Special thanks to antelope sniper!
This was a 5 shot group from a Browning A Bolt. 1st shot was a fouler followed by 4 more.

270 Win
140gr AccuBond
58gr H4831sc

That is a great example of what shooting should be. Congratulations.

Yes sir....that load has worked in 3 different rifles for me. It's a good'un!

Steve

Yes the standard loads that I have found that will shoot in about any 270 rifle is.
130 gr bullet 60 grs H-4831
140 gr bullet 58 grs H-4831
150 gr bullet 56 grs H-4831.
Seems like H-5831 of one sort of another goes with the 270 Win like ice cream goes with apple pie.

Thanks Guys. I am very happy with that load. Now I am going to chrony it and see what speed we have.

Wow, that is a great load, and I would guess it is over 3000FPS with that much 4831, if its not, it is so accurate it is scary. Wow, that is a great looking load. Scotty

The old saying is there is no stupid question. What does sc stand for behind the powder? I have never used much H powder mostly IMR.

The SC stands for Short Cut. It is supposed to feed easier through the powder measures. I used it while loading for a buddies 270 and it did meter pretty nicely. Scotty

same load prints under an inch in my .270 as well. out of a 24" barrel i'm getting just over 3000fps.

That load will do from mice to moose. I figure you're getting 2950 fps or so...

Let's see how close we can get.
