In the 5th edition, H4831 SC is listed for this caliber for 120's & 150's, but not the 140's...IMR 4831 is listed for the 140's.

I'd really prefer to use H4831 SC because of its performance relative to varying temperatures. I will be using a chronograph. Does Nosler have a suggestion of where to begin? Is there a reason why this powder was not published?

Many thanks

I am sorry, but there is not a real good answer for that question. The fact that the book was published in 2002 puts it before my time. It would be my guess that it is something simple like they ran out of that powder at the time. I know that we have noticed issues like this and will take care of them for the #6 reloading guide.

Nosler 3, when can we expect the Nosler #6 Manual to be out?? Just curious and Christmas is coming - should I put it on my list??

Thanks,
Steve D. the HP

AB,

Put RG #6 on your X-Mas list for 2007.

Start with the loads listed for the 150's and work up.

Either that .....

or, find some RL22 listed loads, drop a few and work up,

or sub the loads listed with IMR 4831 with H4831 and work up. IMR 4831 is must faster than H4831 so you will be safe.
