Looking good! Those SGKs sure do shoot good. I've found that their heavy for caliber options work good on game too.

Hope it repeats for ya!

Very nice. Seems like a good load. I'd bet that bullet would work real well out of a 280 as well.

When I first started loading for this rifle I was using the 140gr GK, they shot and performed great on the few deer and a couple hogs I was fortunate enough to take with em. I've been working on this load off and on for the past couple years, I tried IMR and H 4831, RL-19, RL-22, with less than medeocre results till I tried IMR-4350.

I may seat the bullet another .005 and see what the accuracy is like. I started out with an OAL of 3.300 and ran the next load set at 3.295 and the current load at 3.290 and the accuracy has gotten better each time I've run this load through my rifle.

IMR4350 is what I used in my 280 Remington also. It shot great with that powder. I was using 140 gr. Partitions in my rifle. Nice group!

Nice!
I loaded the 160 gr PT in the 280 Rem with 54.0 grs IMR 4831. Accuracy was .400" from a 700 Classic.

Nice to see your persistence seems to have worked out! I would try to repeat your results here and then keep tweaking the OAL as you plan. You obviously enjoy the challenge so you may as well finiash the job.

I think the ability to handle the 160 & 175gr bullets makes the 280Rem more versatile than the .270Win.

That is a very good start with a little work that will get real tight.
It seems that IMR 4350 works well in most of the 284 calibres.

Blessings,
Dan

The selection of 7mm bullets to chose from was one of the big things that I liked about this caliber from the get go from a reloading standpoint.
