I think that is the blemish, they are not at proper weight. Last week I bought some.308 E-tip at 167 grain. Basically 2 grains heavier than normal must be why they installed black tips instead of the green. I ended up buying 8 boxes so I can afford to use 50 to 100 for testing purposes if I want to find the ideal set up in my 30/06
I took the plunge and bought 4 boxes of them. I want to see how they do out of my 7mm Rem Mag. I've got H1000 and RL26, so I hope I can get them 3100+fps out of my 27" barrel.
Just got the banded 152s in from SPS. I’m really looking forward to shooting these. They have 4 grooves total, which I haven’t seen before, but I haven’t played with E-Tips much. These should stomp anything they hit.
