I always used IMR4350 in a 700 BDL and got better thna MOA.
180 gr w/ 55.0 grs

150 gr w/ 59.0 grs

If I were to get another 30-06, I would try RL22.

I have a 180 BT load that has worked very well in 5 different rifles so far.( 2 Brownings 2 700's and a Tikka )

Here it is

Win Brass

WLR primer

57 Grains H-4831

OAL varies per rifle

One Browning shot poorly with everyting I tried including a bunch of factory ammo ( untill I tried this load) The Tikka shoots 150-180 very well don't matter what you feed it! Both 700's like 180-200 grainers best and thats what they get. Browning # 2 prefers this load above any others I have tried but only shoots into 1.25" on a consistant basis.

So I have one 700 that is consistantly 1/2" or less one 700 that is 3/4" any day of the week no matter the weather, A Tikka that keeps 1" with pretty much anything it has been fed, A Browning that stays at about 1" and a Browning that shoots 1.25". All of these rifles are more than accurate enough to make accurate hits on deer and larger game to 300 yards. I can't shoot any farther than that in the field, I am sure some here could make solid hits past that range with a good rest but I can't.

I just finished rolling up some 180 AB's with H-4831 and on Monday I am going to try them out. I still have to work up a load for the 200 grain AB and I am thinking either H-4831 of RL 22 will give me what I am looking for , but if the 180 AB shoots like I think it will I might forsake the 200's for the time being. I have as of yet met a Moose that can withstand a good 180 through the lungs.

I am very happy with the above load and have not run it through the chrony yet but I will once the season is over. As you can tell I like the 180 in the 06 and out to 300 yards speed is of little consern to me. In my mind you can't get any more perfect than a 30-06 with a 180 grain bullet .

Well off to bed, going to look for a good big black bear tomorrow and hopefully air mail him a 180 grain nosler in the sweet spot.

Elk Country

Remington brass
WLR primer
60 grains Reloder 22
180 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip

2800 fps out of my 22" barreled M70 Classic

I have taken close to a dozen deer with this load and it is still my "go-to" round for deer hunting here in the BC interior where shots will often be over 300 yards across a clear-cut.

IMR-4350 58.5-58.8grs, Fed 210M or WLR, Norma or Lapua brass, just about any good 165gr bullet seared 10-15 off the lands. I have worked up to this load in ten different 30/06s with no pressure problems, no loose primer pockets after 10 firings. Groups are usually less than MOA at 100 yards.Rick.

Don't mean to be different but my O6 loved 47.5 grains of 4064 with both a 165 grain Partition and a 165 grain Sierra SPBT. Accuracy was on the order of 3/4 inch at 100 yards.
