My nephew wants to know if I can load a varmint round for his 30-06. I plan on using a 125 gr bullet. Does anybody have any favorite combos? i do prefer to use 215 match primers, and he has winchester brass. I am not concerned about bullet, just about powder charge/accurracy/fps, etc.

First, Federal 215 primers are magnum primers, probably not needed for the powders appropriate for an '06 varmint load. The Federal 210 Match primers are a better choice unless you intend to hunt in very cold temperatures. Varget is always a good choice for light bullets and gives the highest velocities with the Nosler 125 in Nosler #5 (57.5 grains maximum @ 3418 fps). Best accuracy was with RL15, another of my favorite powders (56.0 grains maximum @ 3337 fps).

Not a 125 balisitic load, but 2 varmint loads that work for me:
110 Sierra H.P. Varminter
56.0 IMR 4064
FC Brass
WLR Primer
3.020" OAL

110 V-Max
56.0 IMR 4064
FC Brass
WLR Primer
3.198" OAL

Both shot same point of impact out of my browing a-bolt 1 in 10 twist.
Both loads shot 5 holes touching at 100 yards.
