30-30AI VS 300 Savage

Well I'm thinking of getting a new barrel for my TC Contender and have researched here and found a few use the 30-30AI so I thought I would see if anyone would care to help me compare the 30-30 AI with the 300 Savage.
Over on Greybeard they seem to think the 30-30 AI is a rimed version of the 300 Savage.
So can we compare apples to apples with this one or is it more in favor of one or the other?
Looking at have a 15" barrel made to get the extra muzzle velocity and using 125-150gr bullets.

I am following this thread with interest. I think the 300 Savage would be excellent in the Contender.
My only question is what is the SAAMI pressure spec for the 300 Savage? I'm not sure if it will fit in the Contender. The Encore would be no problem.

Jim, The SAAMI pressure spec is 46Kpsi if I'm not mistaken from what I have already read and some of the hot 30-30 AI loads are pushing 50kpsi.

I'm looking at having MGM make me a barrel but need to decide on which caliber I want.
They list both 30-30 AI and 300 Savage as being available in the contender.
