180 bt in my ruger no.1 made shrt work of this public land buck.

My buddy hunts WT with a 30-378 Wby and the results have been impressive from 50-600 yds.

Its a caliber I always wanted but never offered in a rifle I liked. So I had my favorite rifle re-barrelled. A ruger #1. I love it even though its a tank to carry all day but it is a labor of love.

Performance was exeptional with 180bt and 108 retumbo no tracking req. Shot was About 100yds,good thing I had the big 30. :lol:

Didn't recover bullet but 1'' in and exit was little smaller than baseball size. Shot was uphill a little so it came out high and caught bottom of spine.
