I originally built this with a to light for caliber barrel and it was problematic. I re-barreled with a M24 taper Faxon barrel.

Out at the range today, the rifle is shooting the federal fusion tipped 180gr over 91.5gr of N570 into a single hole, 7 shot group all can covered with a dime. Seems this one is good to go now. Very low recoil, like shooting a 22 250.

My data shows 91.5gr (Max safe load) of N570 is around 64k pressure but I see NO SIGNS, running a 180gr pill at 3300fps should be serious medicine for the dear this year :)

Outstanding! Looks like anything in NA will be in deep dark trouble with that load.

Great Shooting!
How many rounds down the tube now?
Well, I zeroed it and then shot that group so about 10 rounds now. These magnums heat up so quickly you have to let it cool and do not get to shoot a ton at the range. The M24 taper super heavy barrel helps, I shot the 7 round string back to back with no flyers but it was hot after!

Great shooting, looks like you have the right set up. Just curious, where did you come across the Fusion Tipped bullets for reloading? I'm trying to find those or the Terminal Ascents and have not had much luck.

They do not sell the Federal Tipped Fusion as a component bullet yet, I got lucky and found a guy who had 400 of them on Gunbroker and I bought them all. Terminal Ascent availability is spotty, When I bought I got enough for a lifetime.

I get a lot of "pulled" bullets off GunBroker, things you cannot find anywhere else.

This guy has 200gr .30 Terminal Ascent in stock now, I have bought from him in the past, GUNBROKER LINK
