300 Wby

Can someone please give me the case specs for the 300 wby mag?? I just recieved some brass and they seem to be a lot smaller then the specs in my Lyman handbook. just looking for anouther reference thanks......

And if there are any 300 wby owners on here what is the OAL bullet lenght you like?? I know it says the longest that will fit in the mag. because of the freebore. i have a ultr light weight model built in 1999.



Is there anyway to add a pic to these posts?? I have some good ones from a friend who just split a barrle like a banana peel.....

This is what the Nosler 5th edition states...

Neck Dia loaded= ?
Neck Dia unloaded= .335
OAL loaded= Max SAAMI is 3.560
OAL unloaded= 2.825
Empty case weight= ?
neck thickness= ?

Since there was SO much freebore in my Mod 70 Sporter XTR in 300 Wby, I made my OAL 3.600 with a 180 grain Partition. They worked great and grouped to an inch at 100 yards. Guess I could've tweaked the load a bit more but I was in a rush.
