I wanted to share my results from my first ladder test. I'm working up a load for my 300 Weatherby Mark V . I picked the 190 grain VLD Berger bullets. I really wanted to get a hold of the new 190 grain long range Nosler Accubonds but it will probably be awhile before I get a hold of those bullets.

I set my targets up at 300 yards. The weather was great about 65 to 70 and there was a wind blowing to the west at 5 to 10 mph. Also, the squares on my target are a half inch.

From my results it appears my rifle shoots the 190 Bergers the best with 74 to 76 grains of IMR 7828. With the first load of 74 grains having best group.

Next I'm going to shoot 4 shot groups of 74.0, 74.5, 75.0, 75.5 and 76.0 at 200 yards. Hopefully the second ladder test will finalize my load development.
