300 WM 180 AB - Best Starting Point?

The CCI 250 primers will work just fine. Federal 215s are perhaps the hottest primers on the market (highest brisance). However, CCI 250s have more than sufficient brisance to ignite the powder column on a 300 Win Mag.

I run all CCI250’s and have for about 10-12 years. I’ve heard that F215Ms were the hottest primers but I’ve never had a problem with a 250 lighting off any charge for me.

I have used CCI-250 's without any hiccups in my 7mm and 300 Magnums. I have used the Fed.215GM and they are great as well, but hard to find nowadays.

I have used the 250's in my 300 WM and my other rifles since the 1970's.
