About a year ago I bought a Left-Handed Win. M70 chambered in 300 WSM. I wasn't happy with the factory barrel, and I asked my gun smith to replace it with a Douglas xxAG barrel in their #3 sporter contour.
I got the finished rifle back last week.
While sighting in the scope I shot a 7/8" group with a light load I assembled just for sighting in. I upped the powder charge a bit and shot my second target. I had a four shot group measuring about 0.4".
Then I upped the powder charge again and shortened up the cartridge to produce a bullet jump of 0.100" and shot this group with measures about 0.15" This is just my fifth target with this rifle.
Needless to say, I am happy beyond my ability to properly express so.
