The 338 and 375 at 300 yds. I finally got the picture to transfer. Anyway I'm good up to 300 yds. I'll push out to 500 next trip out. It took me almost 2 hours on the computer to figure out how to post this, even with Pop's directions.

Elk I have one thing to say.......... we're comin! be afraid,be very afraid.
Great job greg. What powder / bullet did you say that was? If one of those guns gets in the wrong vehicle when we leave Idaho, I'm sure you'll understand.

Stats:
Rem. 700 xcr 338 RUM. 26" barrel + muzzlebrake for 28" total.
225 gr. AccuBond. CCI. 250 LRM. primer. R/P brass. 100 gr. RL 25 OAL 3.63 ". 3116 FPS 4850 FPE. Leupold 4.5X14 VX111 B&C scope.
Dead on at 200 yds. Dead on with 300 yd B&C reticle bar. No group yet. I'm just trying to extablish range points. This rifle shoots to under 2 " at 200 yds when I have a good rest. I will sent pictures of 400 yd groups.

Rem 700 LSS 375 RUM 26" barrel + muzzlerbake for 28" total.
260 gr. AccuBond. CCI 250 LRM. primer. R/P brass. 97 gr. IMR 4350
3086 FPS. 5500 FPE. OAL 3.59" Zeiss 4.5X14 Conquest scope with custom target turret for my bullet and load.
Dead on at 200 yd. zero. Dead on at 300 yd BDC on turret. I still have to go to 400 and 500 yds but this has been within 3" at 400 yds. last year. I have not shot long range groups this year. At 200 yds it is about 1" or a little less.
I appologize but being a hunter I am more concerned about where it hits at range within a few inches than I am about the tightest group size.
They have always been within minute of elk as 4 dead elk can attest to.
Massive shock + large caliber + flat trajectory results in "Bang Flop" if I do my part. So far so good  I guess if I start using them for ground squirrels I'll have to work on the accuracy a lot more.
Good Hunting

Congrats.
I like the 300 yd shots, and limit myself to 400 mainly due to scope/eyes (I use a x12)

Awesome Greg. I aint even gonna bring a gun! I'll just stay at camp and cook!

That accuracy looks good to me!
I'm with you on the "can I kill it on the first shot" standard. Everything else is secondary.
