I purchased 100 Rem brass because that is all I cold find (Natchez).

Those with experience using both Rem and Nosler brass in RUMs, is there a preference and why??

Thanks!!

I used Remington. Didn't weight sort it or anything and it performed fine for me and my rifle. They were trimmed, flash hole deburred, inside/outside chamfered. I got 1/2-1.5 MOA with it out to 1K and the cases lasted 8 firings before I tossed them.

Few guys have said the nosler 300 RUM brass loosens up the pockets after 2 firings or so. I dont know, no first hand experience.

I"m also using the Rem 300 RUM brass for my 338 EDGE as well and once again, its not weight sorted, but prepped as above, and I"m still getting 1/2-1 MOA out to 1K, and 3 full house loads with 300g SMK's at 2850fps and there still fairly tight.

For the money and performance I'm getting with the Rem, I"ll stick with it.

I have used the Nosler brass in my 280 AI, nice brass for sure!
In my 338 RUM, I use R-P and have no complaints. No weight sorting and the primer pockets have been fine. All my 338 RUM loads shoot under .5 MOA.
I think you will do just fine with the R-P brass you bought.

I have some Nosler .300RUM brass, but yet to fire it. I've had good luck with the R-P Brass as well. I did however debur the flash hole as that wasn't a pretty sight.

I've loaded the Nosler .260 brass 5 or 6 times now without any issues. Also have the .280 brass, but have only shot once.

I use Remington brass in my RUM. Some of the new cases have dings but they should work out after I fire them once and be fine there on out.
