300WSM - 165 AB loads

Alright guys, hit me with your favorite loads for this combo. I am loading for my buddies M70 Extreme Weather tonight. Planning on using RL19 or Hybrid 100V unless you guys have some other great combos. I am running with the 165's as I have TON's of them on hand and I think he will only be hunting deer for awhile, so these should be plenty for that purpose, heck, I would feel okay with him blasting an elk with one too!

Scotty,

I bet that 165 gr AB will be a smokin' out of the 300 WSM, should be a flat liner for deer hunting.

...I'm using 67.5grs. of RL-17 (near MAX) for 3200fps out of my Tikka T3...

Why don't you try this one Scotty, taken from Noslers manual 60 gr RL 15 with a 165 gr bullet. In the Browning A Bolt I used to have various 165 gr bullets clocked 3020-3070 fps depending on the one used and it kicked noticeably less than the typical 180 gr load, it was also quite accurate. Pretty sure you may have some RL 15 kicking around :wink:

I am in. Great thought Gerry, totally forgot about RL15.. I do have a little bit laying around..

Scotty,
I use 71.6 gr of superformance and get 3220 out of a 24" barrel. My Montana 1999 shoots MOA with this near max load.

Scott, that will be next on the list. That is a smoking fast load!
