Can anyone give me a good recipe for 308, 150 grain? I will be shooting it out of a CETME and want to closely duplicate the normal mil surp 147 grain load (2800 fps +/_), except using a 150 gr softpoint.

TIA

Either that or you are getting good at carrying on a conversation with yourself pretty well :p

Getting really good at that. Most the time counting down from ten when dealing with a customer

Back to the original question.

Here's what I'm loading for my FN/FAL

150gr NBT
Win brass.
CCI bench rest primers.
47gr of WC846 (similar to BLC-2) mild load, shoots submoa.
50gr WC846 Max+ load, submoa, work up carefully. sever pressure spikes if you substitue a thicker brass, or hotter primer (don't ask how I know).

46.5 Varget
150gr bullet .308 Win
WLR Primer
Win. or Nosler Case
2840fps out of my rifle.

That is almost identical to what I have loaded for my 308. Shoots the 150gr SST to 2840 out of WW cases, CCIBR2 Primer, same powder charge as well. Very accurate and just a great all around deer load. Wanna try the 150gr PT or AB for something a little tougher, but at that speed, the SST works pretty decent. Scotty
