.308 Winchester SSA 175 grain ammo

I just purchased 200 rounds.

Anyone using it? If so have you chronographed it.

Is it true that Nosler has purchased SSA?

Anyone used it at 600 or 1000 yards?

I got a chance to shoot about 20 rounds today.

Low veolocity 2612 out of an unfoled barrel.

2640-2655 thereafter.

A bit faster than Black Hills 175's (2620).

Not bad from a 20 inch barrel!

Most groups all touching at 100 and nearly so at 200 despite brisk 11 oclock wind.

Good stuff, except one primer did not ignite.

Tried it twice.

Never in 1500 rounds (about) had a failure to fire with this Remington 40X. (Fred Sinclair built rifle).

Saved ctg and will try to safely pull bullet, powder and de-prime it.

I pulled the bullet with an inertia hammer and tried the ctg again in my rifle and primer fired this time.

Powder charge 42.3 grains.

Shot some more of it and no problem.
