You mean the .338 federal? Sako is making the guns, federal the ammo. But the only reason this round is being introduced is that Nosler won't make a 200 grain Partition/AccuBond for the .358 win, and that is the only reason I dont own a Ruger 77 with the tang safety chambered in .358 win, custom barrel by whomever. What a nice combination that would be.
Hey Nosler, you could singlehandedly resurrect 35 caliber. Lets face it, between the .338 win mag and the various .375 rounds, there is no room for a large 35, the market seems to be in the .358 Win/35 Whelen. Those shooters would love a 200 grainer for deer. It would not be a long-range proposition, so you could even make it a Protected Point, and we could shoot it in the .356 Win. Am I crazy??
