Are you putting them through a cronograph? I would like to hear the results if you are. Have considered turning my A-square into an Ackley as well. Mine is in a Sako that was converted from a 7X64 Brenneke that never was hunted with until the conversion. Your velocities should be close to a 338 win mag with the right powder. Most Ackley's seem to like a slower burning powder than the standard caliber it came in. It should really "thump" the bear you are talking about hunting this spring.
