Anybody use this caliber in the encore? If so what are you using? I have been reloading 225 gr Accubonds and 210 gr Partitions with different powders (IMR 4350, 4831, 4064 as well as RL 15) and have not had my socks blown off yet with accuracy/consistency. Just wondering if I am missing something.....thanks,

I don't load for that caliber but other than 4831, you are going with too fast a powder for caliber/bullets. Forget them and work with RL22, RL25, H4831, Retumbo, and or H1000. Remember this, heavier bullet, slower powder.

Forget what i said. I should have paid more attention to it being a 338-06 and not a win mag. You should be on the right track with those powders W760, Varget, and N150 might work.

I've had good success with the 250 Partition and .3 gr under max for Varget. In my barrel this is as accurate as anything I've ever shot. While I haven't taken a caliper to a target I've shot several 3 shot groups that all touched at 100 yards. Near max loads of Reloader 15 have also been quite accurate.

Not in an Encore, but my favorite cart. is my 338-06. I have had good luck w/ RL15 under the 210grNP but right now H4350 has been great across the bullet wt. spectrum from 210gr-250gr. For the 225grNP, work up to 60gr max. My Ruger shoots sub moa w/ 63gr under 210grNP using CCIBR2 primers & Norma brass.
