You are a bad man, CZ, putting all those fine looking rifles up for us to look at. And just before Christmas! Another good looking rifle. You certainly do produce some good looking firearms. (y)

Wow that things is wonderful!! Show us a picture of the cartridge? How does it compare with the 338 Lapua or 338 Ultra-mag?

Wow! Very modern appearance...

6mmRem, the .338 Edge is based off the .300 Rem Ultra Mag, necked up. This gives it a little more case capacity than the .338 Rem Ultra Mag.

Some folks disagree with me, but all three; the .338 RUM, the .338 Lapua, and the .338 Edge, have very similar ballistics and capabilities. They all excel long range work.

I wonder WHY folks would disagree with you :?: they ARE almost identical in Performance ! the Edge and the Std RUM are better to build on a std Rem M700 action as there is more meat left in the chamber end and less bolt thrust with them then a Lapua JMO and maybe yours to Guy - (y)
Cheers :) RJ

The only thing the lapua has going for it is good components and loaded ammo. Otherwise it really should have a purpose build action.

The edge fits and feeds MUCH better in a rem 700 action or clone. There are also some out there being called the Diablo but still just a necked up 300 rum. When combined with a wyatt extended mag box you can get a near 4" Col and really free up some room in the edge case for 300gr VLD bullets.

That rifle should be one heck of a long range hammer!

My buddy built one on a sendero with extended mag box and 30" douglas straight taper bull barrel with 1-10 twist. Thing looks like a truck axle more than a barrel! He put a Hubble telescope sized peice of glass on it, 8-32 Nightforce. He shoots it a lot at 1000+ yards. He takes it to a large frozen lake in the winter where he can shoot as far as he wants. Seems like a 10 minute snow machine ridge just to check targets! It's an impressive cartridge that will really reach out there.
