We tried the 250gr sierra's years ago. One deer they woud fail to expand, on elk we had core jacket seperations.....something in the combination just wasn't right.....
We you can get them, the 200gr BT's are a great bullet. They shoot well, open up quick, and leave big holes. At only 200 grains it's easy to throw them over 3k.
The 225gr AB also provides a good combination of mass and velocity. 2850-2900 is very achievable. With the 250's launch velocities begin to trail off, so for this reason I prefer to stick to the 200-225 range.
