Shot some loads I pressed up the other nice. Decided to try RL17. It is very 4350 like and seems to get the same speed with less PSI. I sorta decided to try shooting off the shooting sticks from a chair. It was a little redneck, but I was done with the bench after running through the Newton.

63 grains was looking pretty good, but I flung one left a couple of inches..

2503, 2487, 2522 FPS

64 grains - 2561, 2628, 2592

65 grains - 2571, 2621, 2640

66 grains had the slightest bit of sticky extraction, so I won't be shooting them again, but they were the most consistent across the board.

2701, 2695, 2699

I think I am going to load up some more at 63 grains and just zero up the old girl real well. They have plenty of speed for what I am looking for, and should let the bullets work just fine.

Here is my redneck shooting position..

It was fun though. When I can rearrange my target set up, I will get some proper targets to shoot irons on and get it dialed.. Fun day though!

I went old school Pat. Shooting sticks for that run.. Pretty fun..

I like the setup, Scotty. The results are instructive. You have one load that is just great, and the others are not terrible.

I think would have all been better if it wasn't for me goofing off with the sticks and just used the bench. The rifle seems very accurate or plenty enough to kill stuff as far as I would want with a peep anyhow.

Nice shooting Scotty
I really like the 348 it is an awesome cartridge. Your velocity looks good too.
