New Hornady manual lists 2000MR as one step slower than RL-15; 2000MR is listed immediately following RL-15. Alliant is not listing any data for 35 Whelen and 2000MR.

Has anybody experimented with 35 Whelen and 2000MR? And yes, I know firsthand that RL-15 is currently the best sauce for the Whelen.

No experience with 2000MR but RL 15 works so well in my 35 Whelen, I don't think I would want to try another powder.

When it eventually wends its way northward, I'll likely give it a try just because.

I would try it as well since experimenting is a lot of fun, RL 15 didn't work as well as Varget in mine so I'm glad we have choices in powder.

Gerry and Mike nailed it. If its that close to RL15 it has to work.. I would give it a try though. I am one of the curmudgeons that really sticks to 15 in the Whelen though. Just a good powder to get speed and accuracy outta the Whelen..

my tried and true powder for whelen was blc2 until I tried rl15. I bought rel 15 when I couldnt find blc2.
