thank you in advance. I think I’d like to do a 35 Whelen build, but would like to scout my powder choices. Living in Michigan, opening day can be 15-70f so I’m trying to stick with powders that are temperature stabile.

Can I get a quickload report that shows all the powders ?

I’m likely going to use Norma Brass, GM215M’s and a Nosler AB 225.
Since it’s a build, I’ll be going with a 24” barrel.

Thank you in advance. Tried to make this post easy for others with 35 Whelen to leverage the same info.

8208 is your huckleberry in that regard. It’ll get good speeds, I’m betting it’ll be accurate as well. Next up would be H4895 and Varget. Those three would be my first picks if temp stability was on my brain.

Perhaps this list will give you some suggested propellants.

Code:
Cartridge : .35 Whelen
Bullet : .358, 225, Nosler AccuBond 50712

Second the motion on H4895 and Varget. Have worked up loads with Tac and Big Game as well but not sure if they fit your application for temp sensitive.

Not to over complicate things W748 , BL-C2 , and RL-12 work well in my Whelen. Too bad RL-12 has been discontinued years ago , best powder in 35 Whelen for me.
